In early 2023, The IIA is launching a student membership program to promote internal auditing as an attractive career choice and support students in reaching their professional goals.

Affiliates interested in this program must offer student membership at no cost. To be eligible for a free membership, students must meet eligibility requirements, which will be screened and ensured by the Affiliate. Once approved, The IIA annual membership fee will be waived for qualified students.

The IIA will support participating Affiliates through the Internal Auditing Education Partnership (IAEP), the Internal Audit Foundation, and other means. The program will also integrate with The IIA's Internal Audit Practitioner and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designations.
